Integrating the Five Critical Concerns with Economics at Mercy Institutions

Main Article Content

Abstract

This paper considers ways the Critical Concerns of Mercy can be approached through economics for students at Mercy Catholic colleges and universities, and also to other institutions of Catholic Higher Education. Economics serves as a discipline with practical applications to global issues and current events. Economics faculty at Mercy colleges and universities can intersect the teaching of economics with the Critical Concerns to not only provide students with instruction of economic theory but also a deep understanding of their college Mission statements and the initiatives of the Sisters of Mercy.
